Jellyfish
is a kind of sea animal that belongs to the class Scyphozoa. Jellyfish is not
really fish. It’s invertebrate animals. It isn’t has backbone. In fact, it isn’t
has bones at all. It body is shaped like an umbrella tufted. Some jellyfish can
make the itching of the skin upon contact. there are about 1,800 types of
jellyfish in the world.
Jellyfish
has stomach and mouth, but it doesn’t has head. It has a nervous system to
sense the world around them, but it doesn’t has brain. Jellyfish made almost
entirely of water, which is why you can see through them. Some jellyfish can
glow in the dark with the light of it own making. The light is created by a
chemical reaction within the jellyfish. Jellyfish make a light may be to scare off
predators or to attract the animals they like to eat.
Type of
jellyfish is the most dangerous of the group Cubozoa. Tentacles sting can cause
death. Jellyfish is the most deadly of these groups is the Irukandji jellyfish,
which is small in size. This jellyfish live around the coast of Australia.
There are giant jellyfish named Nomura which is can grow up to 2 meters in
diameter and weighs 220 kg.
Most
jellyfish live in salt water, a part from a few types that live in fresh water.
Jellyfish are found in oceans and seas around the world. They live in warm,
tropical seas and in the icy waters near the North and South poles.
